How to fix “android is starting” followed by “optimizing app…” issue on android phone? have you ever faced problem on your android screen stating, “android is starting” message?. "android is upgrading, and afterwards it came optimizing application 1 of 158", later came as starting apps then tecno will come and the upgrading starts again for more than 24 hours. i need a solution to stop it and have access to the phone. i cant do anything with the phone so please give me the right solution. I started getting this android is starting....optimizing apps 1 of 1. after reading this thread, i found the problem to be zedge. i've used this app for about 6 years, then a recent forced update started causing the error, making my phone take about 15 minutes to boot. i uninstalled zedge and got rid of the problem..

Android 5.1 random restarts and optimize app showing 1-1031 of 1031 messages. after the restart, it will start optimizing the apps all over again. observations: and begin a factory reset. the phone went through the formatting and re installation of android 5.1 for a long time, rebooting itself all the while..
