This is intentional. you can do this in several games. sony knows. it worked back on some ps2 games, it worked on portal 2 for ps3 and it works with several ps4 games. rocket league, paragons, fortnite. sony is ok with pc <--> ps4 crossplay. they always were. they are not ok with other platforms though..
